Just a quick email to say hi. Am having a great time over here, it could not be more beautiful. It's been snowing the past 2 days. Pandas in the snow - can you imagine?!
I have spent my first full day working with Wang Wang and Funi, alongside Lou Bo, the Chinese keeper who will be moving to Australia for a few months. He is lovely and I know we will get along very well.
Both the pandas are just gorgeous! Very different personalities. Funi seems very naughty, she is only 3 and is still climbing trees a lot and exploring all the time. She is going to love all the attention.
Wang Wang is a cutie too, although he is a maturing male so a bit more dangerous...you can see from the way he looks at you that you need to be careful. They are both excellent at training as well. Wang Wang was lying down on his tummy at one point and Lou Bo was touching him to mimic giving an injection....Wang Wang didn't even flinch. You can see they definitely bond and form relationships with their keepers as well, so it's nice to know I will be able to get that over time.
